Baptized

On May 2, 2013 along with eight friends in our church, Sawyer and Meena got baptized.  
After school, we drove them straight to another church which has a baptistry.

It was outside, surrounded by trees.  Sunshine dappled us through leaves.   The weather was perfect.
Both Sawyer and Meena gave a short testimony before the assembled group, then stepped down into the tank to be baptized.
Seeing my children confessing their own faith publicly reminded me that one chapter of parenting is ended, and the new chapter of parenting is starting (whatever that means!)

When Meena gave her testimony she talked about how she experienced so much love for her pet bunnies, and how sad she was when three of them died.   Then she realized how much more God loves us, and how God feels sad if we die in our sins that is why He sent Jesus for us.
